Manicure Monday

Today I'm wearing China Glaze's Ruby Pumps. I purchased it at Sally's Beauty Supply. I mention this because I know you'll want to run out and grab it asap!!

Of course this is paired with my China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat. I am trying a new top coat that was sample size $1.99 at Sally's. I've heard good things and it was travel size so I picked it up. "Out the Door" I'll let you know what I think.

This color is so beautiful. The glitter is really tiny and very sparkle-y. When I take the polish off the glitter appears to be silver. It takes a little longer to take off, but it's so worth it. Any lover of glitter will agree!

I guarantee you will love it and get compliments EVERY time you wear it!  It's amazing for the Holiday season!!

Manicure Monday

I've been missing. I'm sorry. We've been out of town for the long holiday weekend.

Today's manicure is from China Glaze Holiday 2011 Let It Snow Collection. I'm wearing

"Glittering Garland". It's a really sparkly green shade. I think it's prettier on my fingers than the bottle (and the bottle is pretty! It took 3 layers of polish to get the effect I desired. I like to hold my hand up to the light and look at my nail tips, if there is no light coming through, I'm happy. With each layer the sparkle got better and better. The color builds really well. It was really nice and smooth going on. Love it!!!
As usual I'm using my CG Strong Adhesion Base Coat and Beauty Secrets Top Coat.

P.S. My manicure last week, the Russian Navy, lasted 7 days until I took it off. Fantastic! On day 3 of the manicure I did a coat of the Essie Good To Go to prolong the manicure and it totally worked!

I have lots to share, pics from the weekend and I may do a holiday blog challenge, but for now, I need to prepare lunch!

Happy Monday!!

a day late...

Manicure Monday... I'm late, I know. lol I have a good excuse though... AJ stayed home yesterday so we were soaking up some quality time. It is really sweet seeing how much Oliver really enjoys having his daddy home during the day.

I have been working on a personalized calendar for my mom. Editing and arranging photos. I also took some pictures of the kids for our holiday card. My hand is so sore from being on the computer. I am thrilled with how some of the pictures are turning out. Here is the one going on our card. I'm pretty pleased with my at home photo session.

On to today's manicure, which I just finished. Yay for naptime!!
OPI Russian Navy

I am loving this color! It only 2 coats. It went on smooth and easy. There is a gorgeous shimmery sparkle to it! I see a bit of purple in it. I've been wanting it for a few weeks, so glad I picked it up!

What color are you wearing this week??

Manicure Monday

Today's manicure is OPI's The One That Got Away from the Katy Perry line. Um, I love this color. I wear it often. It has a deep pink with tiny bits of glitter. It is really gray here, again. No pics from sunlight, but this shade looks amazing in sunlight. This is base coat, 3 layers of color and top coat. Probably one of my top favorties!! My photography "skills" are seriously lacking, but trust me, it's GORGEOUS in person!
I wore this all weekend and chipped it this morning. I love it so much I redid the entire manicure!

Jimmy, ME, Charlie
Here I am with my pretty nails out dancing with my besties! I had such a great time with my friends.
P.S. b.t.w... that's the Victoria Secret sweater, LOVE!!

Have a great Monday, hope it starts your week out right!!

Manicure Monday

Today, for Manicure Monday, I'm showing mine and Chloe's Halloween inspired nails. Chloe is dressing as a vampire for trick-or-treat, so we decided to go dark with a little bit of cute...ghosts. She is in-love with her nails. I keep catching her staring at them. I am hoping if her nails look cute maybe she'll stop biting them.

China Glaze Strong Adhesive Base Coat
 Wet n Wild Black Creme
Sally Hansen XtremeWear White On (ghost)
Revlon ColorStay Sparkling Scarlet (sparkle for ghost)
Wet n Wild Black Creme (ghost eyes/mouth)
Beauty Secrets Top Coat

I googled Halloween inspired nail images and saw a blood spatter that seemed kinda cool. I then got on YouTube and looked for tutorials. I stumbled across the video below to help. Mine are not exactly like the videos, but my kids think I'm really cool and that is all that really matters.

 The polishes I used...
China Glaze Strong Adhesive Base Coat
Sally Hansen French Manicure 2 Natural Color (a pink/neutral opalescence)
Revlon Colorstay Sparkling Scarlet
Rimmel Red Rock
China Glaze Phat Santa
Beauty Secrets Top Coat
Essie good to go

This past weekend we had friends over for dinner...
recipes to come!
Till next time, have a safe and Happy Halloween!!

Manicure Monday

Today I'm not feeling well, so this will be short and mostly pictures. I'm sorry.

Last week's manicure...
This is Essie's Raise Awareness and Revlon's Colorstay Sheer Sparkling Sealant topcoat. Loved. Very girly and the manicure lasted like 6 days :)

This week's manicure...

This is Wet n Wild Wild Shine in Black Creme. This is my first time using this shade. Um, hello Gorgeous! Very opaque and super shiney! This is 2 coats (almost didn't need 2). I then added ...

This manicure is perfect for the last week of October, I get the black that goes with Halloween and my sparkly pink ribbons for Breast Cancer Awareness month. I love the look way more than I love the durability of this manicure. The ribbons catch on anything and everything fuzzy. After the above picture of my nails I added ribbons to my ring fingers. Well, in less than an hour I pulled those off. One "jewel" had already come off and fuzzy stuff from Tyler's blanket were everywhere. I may have to redo my ring fingers nails because they are scuffed and there is some sticky residue left. I'm hoping my thumb nails last. Here's to hoping!

I hope you're all having a better Monday than I am. I'm gonna try to rest before naptime is over.
